Two Dales is perfectly situated for exploring the outstanding countryside of Derbyshire and visiting some of the famous houses and gardens in the area. These include Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall.
There are many good restaurants and pubs some within walking distance or a short drive away from Chesterfield House. Many of which we do have listed.
We are within easy reach of Bakewell [famous for its puddings] and the Spa towns of Buxton and Matlock. You may even like to enjoy an evening at the Buxton Opera House.
There is variety for everyone. A family day out could include a trip to the steam railway which is a short walk from Two Dales. Gulliver's Kingdom,
Heights of Abraham and Crich Tramway Museum are all a short drive away. We are half an hours drive from the M1 and Derby , Nottingham and Sheffield are all within a reasonable distance.
Derbyshire is a haven for walkers so anyone intending to bring their hiking boots will certainly not be disappointed. There are hundreds of miles of amazing countryside to be explored and enjoyed and we have several books on planned routes, which we are more than happy to lend to our guests.
After a good nights sleep, you will be served a continental or hearty full English breakfast to set you up for the day. We also offer a lighter breakfast if preferred. We do try to cater for all special dietary requirements. [notice of these would be appreciated upon booking]. All our produce is locally sourced. We usually serve breakfast between 8.00 and 9.30a.m. however we try to be flexible to our guests arrangements and timetables.

Ash, Birch cottages are tastefully converted, stone-built cottages nestling around Twitchill Farm, an 18th century farmhouse which is now the home of Sarah Atkin.
Ash and Birch Cottages are charming three-storey cottages which each sleep up to 8 people. They each have four separate bedrooms; one twin room and one room with spacious bunk beds, plus two double rooms, ideal for adults or children. Both share a large lawned garden, ideal for barbecues and lawn parties.
The cottages all have fully equipped kitchens and are tasefully decorated and furnished throughout. They share a Utility Room which offers a tumble drier, washing machine, additional freezer space.
The farm has a heated indoor swimming pool We are sorry that dogs and other pets are not permitted at the cottages.

Originally traditional accommodation for a farm worker's family; the cottage has been completely modernised to offer cosy, high quality, very well-equipped accommodation with delightful views and the amenities of the village on the doorstep. The cottage sleeps 2-3 people.
The living room has two sofas and an electric wooder-burner effect stove. The TV/DVD player together with some holiday DVDs are discretely positioned within a cupboard so that they can be kept out of the way if not required.
Pass though a low doorway to the well fitted kitchen with dining area. The kitchen includes all you would need for a self-catering break.
Through french windows to South-West facing patio with outside dining area and small utility room which houses washer and dryer.
Upstairs, the master bedroom has a double 'four poster' bed. There is also a single bedroom with south-westerly views. Each bedroom has a wardrobe, a chest of drawers and adequate space for bags to be stored.
