Delightful self-catering (vacation rental) accommodation
on the edge of the Peak National Park.

The Setting

Higher Ingersley Barn is set in an elevated rural position on the edge of the Peak District National Park, in the middle of 8 acres of the owners farmland. It sits in a small picturesque valley, off a very quiet country lane, and is next to the owners 17th century farmhouse. Stone built, and dating from a similar period to the house, the barn has its own private garden with paved patio, sitting-out area, and private parking for 4 cars. There are superb views all around the barn.
Accommodation The barn has been awarded a 5 star rating by the English Tourism Council. It was converted from a hay and cattle barn in 2001. It is finished to the highest standards and, in keeping with its original character, features exposed oak beams in most of the rooms. The main entrance leads into the utility room complete with sink, washing machine and tumble drier, where there is plenty of space to store outdoor clothing. There is also a pay phone in this room for your convenience.

Off the utility room is a cloakroom with wash basin, toilet and broom/store cupboard. From the utility room we enter the kitchen. This is a fully equipped kitchen with a double oven and grill, ceramic hob, dishwasher, microwave oven, fridge and separate freezer, and all the essential equipment you will need for your stay. Next to the kitchen is the stylish dining hall, with a table to seat eight. Double French doors open on to the patio. A spacious and comfortably furnished lounge area is approached from the dining hall via an elegant spiral staircase situated in front of a spectacular window where once the full- height barn doors stood. Also provided are a large colour television, video recorder/player, hi-fi music centre and a gas- fired log effect stove for instant heating. There are 3 double bedrooms, all with en suite bathrooms. The largest has a king size bed, the middle bedroom has twin beds and the third a double bed. All en suite bathrooms have power showers, and a hair dryer is provided.
