Old Station House
2017 Special Offer: Three nights from GBP195 per room, including breakfast!
The Old Station House is one of the closest B&Bs to three of the main Peak District attractions: Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Bakewell.
We are located in the picturesque village of Rowsley, on the border of the National Park. With three ensuite guest bedrooms and plenty of off-road parking, we can offer you the perfect base for exploring the surrounding area.
Sir Joseph Paxton built our beautiful house in 1850 the year before he designed the famous Crystal Palace. Today we have two double bedrooms and one twin/superking, all with TV/DVD players and Wi-Fi internet access as well as views over the surrounding countryside.
Within a five minute walk of the house are two upmarket restaurants and the local village pub, which offers very reasonably priced meals. Just a mile away is the award winning Devonshire Arms, voted Derbyshire's Gastro Pub of the Year 2012. East Lodge Country House Hotel, the popular wedding venue, is just across the road from us.
Beautiful footpaths walks lead from Rowsley to some of the most famous sites in the Peak District including Chatsworth House, Bakewell, Haddon Hall, the Nine Ladies Stone Circle and the Heights of Abraham in Matlock Bath. Peak Rail steam trains run from Rowsley South station to Matlock at weekends and the 55 mile Derwent Valley Heritage Way runs through the village.
We have plenty of guidebooks and maps that guests are welcome to borrow to help them explore both the local area and further afield in the National Park.
Our Prices range from GBP30 - GBP42.50 per person per night, are based on two people sharing a room and include a full English or vegetarian breakfast.
