Merman Barn is a converted limestone barn on the quiet outskirts of Tideswell, only a five minute walk to the village centre.
Tideswell, known as 'The Cathedral of the Peak', is an ideal base from which to explore the Derbyshire Peak District - whether it is by car, on foot or by bike. Convenient for Bakewell, Buxton, Castleton,Chatsworth, Millers Dale, Monsal Dale and many more attractions.
Merman Barn has been furnished to a high standard and and provides comfortable, friendly accomodation. We have three en-suite rooms -a twin, a super king size and a double. All rooms have hot drink making facilities with fresh milk and biscuits, a mini fridge, a remote flat screen colour TV, a hair dryer and a clock radio. Guests have a private breakfasting room where a full English breakfast is served.
In the evening, Guests have the use of a comfortable private lounge with log fire, novels and board games and details of visitor attractions, local walks and nearby eating places.
There is a private Guest Entrance and off-road parking. Guests are welcome to relax in our lovely walled garden. We have an outside building for storing bikes and cleaning walking boots. We offer a warm welcome and will aim to make your stay comfortable and relaxing.
Room rates are £70 per night for the double room, £80 for the superking room and £80 for the twin room, based on two people sharing. Single occupancy is £60 per night. Payment is by cheque or cash. We are a non-smoking establishment and cannot cater for children or pets. We are open all year except Christmas.
