 Thimble Cottage in Matlock, formerly known as Thimble Hall, is a listed 18th century cottage, small and cosy with beamed ceilings, exposed stonework, leaded windows and galleried staircase. A holiday cottage for two people. Thimble Cottage has one quaint double bedroom, bathroom with bath and electric shower over,a lounge with TV and video,radio/CD, two seater settee and matching armchair, and an old gritstone fireplace with log effect gas fire. It has a well-equipped kitchen/diner with electric oven, gas hob, fridge,freezer, microwave and all the essentials you require on holiday. Warm lighting effect throughout the cottage. The cottage is conveniently situated in the heart of Matlock with all the shops, pubs and restaurants and indoor swimming pool. There are fine views of Riber Castle. A level walk from the cottage to Hall Leys Park and by the River Derwent to Matlock Bath. Catch the lovely views of High Tor Grounds, The Heights of Abraham and the Cable Cars. The popular Matlock Bath Illuminations with fireworks and illuminated boats from late August to late October. Train and bus services to Chesterfield, Buxton, Derby, Nottingham, Manchester and London are available in Matlock. East Midlands Airport and Manchester Airports are the two close airports .
