Ashford Arms

The Ashford Arms offers bar meals and a restaurant close to Bakewell in the heart of the Peak District.

Eating out at the Ashford Arms is a treat - we have a varied menu using local, fresh produce.

Chef Robert Muxlow gained a great reputation for his culinary creations at Merlin's, in Matlock, and is looking forward to maintaining a warm country pub atmosphere while creating quality, fresh food.

Since his award-winning Sunday lunch at the Tavern in Tansley in 2002, Robert has never looked back. He is well known for catering to everyone's palate - from a homemade, tasty pie to a mouthwatering 'a la carte' dish.

We offer theme nights throughout the week, (see our website for details) including steak nights featuring Robert's famous 'sizzling sauces'.

You can eat in the bar or we have a restaurant in a conservatory area which can host banquets and larger parties - please enquire for further details.
