Cromford Cottage

Cromford Cottage is quietly situated at the far end of historic North Street part of the World Heritage site of Cromford. The cottage accommodates up to 3 people.

The cottage was built in 1771 and is situated on 3 floors and has many original features along with 21st century requirements.

The cottages in North Street were the first built in Cromford by Sir Richard Arkwright for weavers at his new, revolutionary mills at Cromford and Matlock. The top floors were used as workrooms by the weavers - notice the long line of windows to give extra light on the top floor.

A delightful cottage for all seasons it is a place to relax and unwind. Dog friendly (maximum of 2 dogs allowed). The cottage is not suitable for children or the infirm due to the steep staircase to the second floor. Totally no smoking.
