Carsington Water is a Severn Trent Water reservoir in Derbyshire, between Ashbourne and Wirksworth. It has a visitor centre, sailing club, fishing, and cycling and walking trails.
The High Peak Trail takes the line of the former Cromford and High Peak Railway betwen Parsley Hey and Cromford, in the Derbyshire Peak District.
The Longendale Trail, a Derbyshire Peak District cycle trail, follows the track of the former Woodhead (Sheffield to Manchester) railway up the Longendale valley.
The Manifold and Hamps Trail is a Staffordshire Peak District cycle track which follows the old light railway which once ran along the valley.
The Monsal Trail is Derbyshire Peak District cycle trail which follows the path of the former Midland Railway from Wye Dale to a point beyond Bakewell, mostly following the River Wye.
The Sett Valley Trail is a cycle trail which follows the line of the former railway between Hayfield and New Mills, Derbyshire.
The Tissington Trail, a Derbyshire Peak District cycling trail follows the former railway line between Buxton and Ashbourne.
