Mosstone is a traditional stone-built cottage providing accommodation for 5-6 people in the centre of the historic village of Youlgrave. The name Mosstone was the original name given to the hillside, now known as Mawstone, which forms the principal view from the rear of the house. The small extension at the front of the house was separate from the house and is remembered by many in the village as a toy shop. The building was purchased by the present owners in dilapidated state in 2004 and since then has been rebuilt to provide a charming and comfortable three bedroomed cottage with central heating. |
